Darkness That Surrounds Her

Her bright eyes shimmered like snowflakes in the afternoon sun,
Glistening tears rushing down her face,
Almost as if the dam has been shattered into tiny pieces.

Her heart that used to be the home of her love,
Was replaced with the sorrow and sadness,
That would soon consume her.

The darkness that is too much,
Cannot be controlled by the light,
Any longer.

The hole of a soul,
The pitch-dark night that looms around her,
Are all factors of her dying wish.

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, evil for evil.” She said.

My dark soul bids you farewell.

AM I? OR WOULD I?

If I would love you,
Would I tell you so?
Or would I keep it all to myself?
Without letting you know.

Cause am I intimidating?
Or am I gorgeous?
No.
I don’t think that’s the case.

Cause one thing I know,
Is that,
I’m no ordinary girl,
I don’t live up to most standards.

I don’t have the looks of most,
And I’m incredibly ugly,
That’s why,
I don’t shine.

I might live in the past sometimes,
But that’s very rare,
I might have my head in the clouds,
But I see you there.

I might be stranded on a deserted island.
And there’s no one to look to,
In a world where I’m all alone,
No place to call home.

So here I am,
Standing here waiting for that star to show itself.
Cause am I wishing?

For my love to come true.

Flowers & Freedom

Roses are red,
Made for love,
Yellow is instead,
A friendship; a hug,
When a flower is in bloom,
Take care of it right,
Dont let it wilt,
Overnight.

Take care of your hours,
Minuets and days,
We never want our time,
To fly away.

Breathe a little further away,
Take time to space yourself,
Breathe in the air of your surroundings,
Imagine yourself in a place you love.

Because freedom,
Is like a rose,
It stays so long,
And then wilts away,
You never have a time like the present,
So take in what you have.

Love is here,
As well as happiness,
Nothing is better than right here and right now,
So here is what I say,
Think of your happiness,
Your friends and your love,
Think of this today!
Think of a place where you belong.

Underline of You

Shy on the light,
Lonesome on the dark,
But the middle of rings,
Is the solitary things,
That make our hearts run wild,

For Romeo,
His Juliet,
A lover,
For another,
The world goes on,
We meet others in the same bind as us,
And we keep going,
Rushing,
Skipping,
Leaping,
Crying,
Sadly there is crying too.

In a dimension of this one,
Or in another dimension,
Where our thoughts,
Take over our minds,
And take control of how we feel and how we look.
That sort of world,
Created by our past selves,
Would be a recollection of,
Wonders,
Dreams,
Nightmares,
Creative Ideals,
That would end up to a 50/50 coin,
Heads would rather take the high road,
And tails the other,
There is always a path that is opposing the other,
Always opposite terms,
But the love of the earth,
And everyone on it,
Is surely a blessing.

In a creative maze,
That uses a point system,
In tactics,
In life,
In the movies that we so much enjoy,
In the games that we play,
In the classes we take to be schooled or to school others,
In the things that we taught or got taught,
In homework that puzzles us,
In the things that happen during the day and we are still unsure of why they happened,
Why are we hated,
Is it our fate,
Is it our solid ideal,
Is it something that I cannot process yet in my mind and that must go down on paper,
Cause it truly terrifies me,
In how much I think,
Overthink,
Under-think,
Sometimes even re-think things that have not yet happened yet,
Or there are days where I say to myself,
Why am I not thinking today,
And I think that thinking is something that I could do without,

Because a heart has misery,
Sadness,
Joy,
Happiness,
Passion,
And comfort that lies under it all,
The way to comfort a person,
Show them your heart,
Show them the side of you no one has seen before,
Show the calming nature you possess,
Show the under line of you.

I Got My Poem Published!

Last Friday, at home checking my email, I found out that my teacher had submitted my poem to be published in the school's Literary Thread, mine got published and is on page 8! I am so lucky to be one of these people, I don't know if they select a few or they allow everyone, but I think that this is one of my milestones in life. I think that this is wonderful and that later in the future when I get some of my stuff published this is going to be good to go back to. The things that colleges look for are the little and always big achievements that you have done in your high school. I think that if I have a billion of my poems submitted, I am likely to stand out to one of the colleges. I want to be a Chemistry Major, but art or poetry as a minor, and I have a strong heartfelt liking to UCSD, it is where my Dad works along with my Aunt Nora, on my mom's side! I just wanted to thank my most favorite and remarkable teacher that the school, SDA, has to offer: Mrs. Youmans. I think that her efforts to push me foward in my acedemic studies really helped me in seeing my true goal, and I would not stand here wishing for my goals in life had she not guided me in the right direction.

Nightwalkers

I love you,
I hate you,
I want you,
I miss you,

Why are these feeling taunting me?

I want that smile.
Those eyes,
This feeling,
I just can’t deny.

What is this feeling I can’t ignore?

I want to feel the sunshine, Oh whoa.
I want to see the moon-light up the stars, yeah, yeah.
I want to know what it feels like to see the sunrise,
In space.
Oh Whoa.

What is it like?

Because it’s you and me,
Were counting 1, 2, 3.
Were dancing in the moonlight,

Living when the sun shines,
Were always here,
Never going away,

Today.

Were the nightwalkers,
Were here,
Living when the light is gone,

Were the nightwalkers (x2)

Sorry

Sorry

I am sorry that I yelled at you,
I did not help your problems,
For I did not mean for causing you pain.

I just wanted you to know,
That I am here for you,
As a fellow....

Friend,
Family,
Daughter.

I have lost a parent too,
and I wish to make it up to you.

Your dad will be fine,
Since based on your religion,
He will be with loved ones far and wide.

He is in the hands of god,
The only spiritual man that all trust,
The names that he is called run through a long list.

But one thing is certain,
He loves us one and all,
And takes care of us when we live and when we visit his white palace.

So dont be sad,
Grieve,
Then when you're ready release all of the pain and sadness.

I am not telling you that everything is going to be ok,
But I am telling you that we will be there through the whole way.
